Progressive Economics Panel paper, April 2010
Introduction: In January 2009, Christina Romer and Jared Bernstein published a paper setting out the impact on US jobs of the Obama Administration’s ‘American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan’. In this paper we follow Romer and Bernstein’s methodology to estimate the effect on jobs in the UK of any additional measures implemented in 2010 to cut the fiscal deficit.
